Sorry no idea about the moorings. What is obvious is that to make the moorings 
for the show boats (eco) BW have cut down all the treees/bushes on the offside 
which were the nesting sites of lots of Moorhens. One assumes it was done in 
the non nesting season.We have seen water voles along there too.

We are setting off in the morning to tow Gamebird down to Venetian 
Marine on the Middlewich branch where we will launch her. We will 
cruise down to the National (mooring is D11B) before returning via the 
Trent and Mersey. Sorry, I don't know where S12 is (our "envelope" is 
packed away) but I think the IWA site has a map of the site somewhere 
which might show the moorings.
