Hi Richard and All,

Been watching the rain come down and the River Avon go up all day, here in
Evesham. The Avon is closed. Having just looked at LT, she is about 5 feet
higher than normal levels. Have just checked the EA site
http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/subjects/flood/floodwarning/Midlands.html
there are no flood warnings for either the Avon or Severn at the moment.
That is good news.

With regard to your trip, depends on when you are likely to hit either
river. I suspect the Avon will be closed for some days yet as we are
expecting more rain over the weekend. Best day is next Monday and then more
rain.

Last year LT spent 3 unplanned weeks in Stourport waiting for the Severn to
go down but that was exceptional and could not happen again, could it?

Ho Hum.

Regards,

Andrew
