Hi Richard and All,

The Avon has come up during the day and has broken it's banks in places. It
seems to be stable now and may be dropping. The next 24 hours are crucial.
Having had more information from the council today, the expectation that the
waters will recede.

Dear Councillors,

The situation last night moved quite quickly. From having no floodwatches at
office closing time yesterday, we had floodwatches for rivers across the
district early evening and then flood warnings later in the evening. Main
areas for concern were the Isbourne at Hinton and Sedgeberrow and the
Avon.Since then the river warnings have been downgraded.A planned Silver
control meeting in Worcester this morning has been cancelled for the
following reason

-There has been a review of the current intelligence regarding the current
weather and river/brook levels. In short the information suggests general
improvement.

Sandbag stocks are being monitored and are satisfactory at present. Some
reports of flooded properties but these are very small.-

-----------------------------------------------

I do hope so because we are due to start our holiday on Sunday 14th. Plan is
to head to the Cutweb rally via the Avon, Severn and onto the canal system
at Stourport. If the water levels are still to high to leave, methinks we
will be cruising in a much larger ship and probably round the Med!

Regards,

Andrew
