I could have done better with a crow bar and a small flat metal sheet on my own! Using the crowbar lift the stern near the edge of the water, and lauch sideways. Watch the big splash, and see her bob up without any water ingress! They were obviously from a company (all dressed the same, and boat was coloured the same), so which bunch of cowboys were they (for future reference, in order to avoid at all cost). No life jackets, poor comunication between them (one had to jump on the unsecured boat to stop the workboat crew from making matters worse), no one person in obvious charge... BW should stop them working on the waterways completely - I'd like to see the method statement! Anyway, thats my towpence worth. My Dad and I nearly tried to save a boat in Pershore after the floods, we were worried it might sink after the waters went down, but then we might have been liable for damages if our rescue wasn't successful. We know enough to leave well alone, these muppets didn't even know that much! Cheers, Mike -- Michael Askin http://shoestring_DOT_zapto_DOT_org/
