Saturday 13th September The sun shone on us today, all warm and nice with little wind and just the occasional cloud to get in the way.
A steady chug from congested Braunston across the puddlebanks and on towards Wigrams where we turned right towards Warwick. Uneventful except for numerous displays of indecision and mind changing concerning bridges, locks, waterpoints and diesel fills. We descended the top lock at Calcut and left it set with the gate open for the boat currently ascending the second lock. They decided they were going to fill with diesel at Calcut boats, even though their crew had joined me at the top lock, and so I turned the top lock to allow a Viking craft, who had appeared above the top lock, to descend to join us in the second lock. As the levels were equalling, they decided they would us the waterpoint above the top lock instead of descending, so they untied and went across instead. We continued solo meeting craft ascending at each of the other two locks. We finally moored up so that we are ready to attend the Cutweb rally next weekend.
