Why not enquire at the Bridgewater Motor Boat Club at the end of the Runcorn arm of the Bridgewater? I'm sure they'd be able to accomodate you. Failing that, Acton Bridge or Preston Brook on the Trent & Mersey, just before the tunnel, are quite safe for you to leave your boat there for a few days.
There are train stations at either end of the Runcorn Arm, which is only a short distance from the tunnel. HTH.
