We recently had a two week boating holiday and ventured onto new bits, namely the bottom end of the Leicester Arm. Apart from having 2 weeks of probably the best boating weather this year we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We managed to spend a total of 3 nights in Foxton, 2 in Crick, 1 in Market Harborough, 1 in Welford as well as stops at Bugbrook, just below the top of the Buckby flight and various other places on the way to and and on the way back from our home mooring.
Spotted Nackered Navvy and various other list boats although most of the time we didn't see anyone of board or where hopeless at remembering names until we'd boating past. We did wave at some of you and thank you for waving at us. We'll definitely do this trip again as it was extremely pretty and we found some great pubs, food, etc and best of all, I kept on beating Simon at skittles. Hurrah! If I get time I'll post some pics on the canals list website. Debbi
