Bedlam Dike, which runs from the canal north-westwards, becoming Hell
Forest Dike, which runs into Stock Beck, which runs into the Ribble
about 5 miles west at Gisburn.

The point where the canal crosses the county boundary is virtually the
watershed, as Gill Syke rises 150 m to the south-east, flowing into Carr
Beck, Langber Beck and Broughton Beck to join the Aire just west of
Skipton.
