Early this morning the "working boat" Atlas (blue and yellow BW livery) was spotted drifting serenely through the upper basins. No crew, mooring lines trailing.
She came to rest nestling across the bows of half dozen of the end-on permanent moorings above the top narrow lock. The residents shifted the boat and tied it to the lock waiting pontoon, which will not cause any aggro as the Severn has been "red-lighted" for the past 10 days. Presumably the local humourists untied her last night, all safe now but if anyone knows the owners it might be as well to let them know that Atlas isn't where they left her. Beeky
