For my pains I ran three London marathons, wearing of course, black, towelling socks & only spotted maybe ½ dozen black-sock wearers over those three years, naturally, we all wore shorts, trainers & T-shirts too. The thought of 30,000 naked, bar socks runners, is too awful to contemplate.
