To be fair insert the words ''steer his own boat' better than the BW 
chap' which is hardly surprising. The report also said that the 
particular boat was almost unsteerable at the speed at which BW 
required it to travel. A small increase in speed (agreed in conjunction 
with the BW chap solved this.I think it must be acknowledged that the 
BW 'chap', namely Fred Carter, who has now done over 1000 tunnel 
transits knows the tunnel better than anyone.
