My apologies to everyone about this. It is no solace, but this was the first of my talks I have ever had to cancel. Sadly, my much-loved mother in law died last week a little short of her 92nd birthday. She discovered canals late in life through us, and became a great enthusiast, travelling most of the system in her time. Some on this list will have met her along the towpath and know what I mean when I say she was a remarkable woman. Others will know her from Fruit Flies where she makes a guest appearance travelling down the Stratford during a heatwave and waking after dozing off in the sunshine looking like a panda bear. She was a terrific woman. Her death leaves a great hole in our hearts. Steve [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
