Not sure about the used engine oil, but when I was researching for Canal Boat I had a chat with HMRC about exactly what meant in practise seeing there are so many different ways of preparing veg oil for fuel and I was told that it means "using it". It appears then that just pouring veg oil in your tank is fine as far as HMRC are concerned as long as you stay under the 2500 litre limit. Tony Brooks
