That is, I think, the way forward for static electricity generating and 
from what I read we are perhaps 5 to 10 years away from using microbes 
to convert all sorts of waste in hydrocarbon fuel so as long as the 
energy in is less than the energy out and the residue is safe and easy 
to dispose off then I suspect the fuel crisis will be well on the way 
to being solved.
