But surely any log that BW wanted as proof would have to be countersigned at 
various points by recognised officials to prove you had really been their. A 
bit like the old IWA Silver Sword logs.

I took part in a BW Survey a few years ago, when we were asked to keep 
a log of where and when we were cruising. I never found it a chore 
(except when I'd had a cold, wet, single-handed day boating) and it did 
help with writing the Trip Reports!
