Probably not, Steve. Pub and Carvery restaurants are part of a chain and we 
have one in our village. From Monday to Saturday inclusive, you can get a 
carvery for £3.50 and very good it is too. On Sundays the price goes up to 
£6.50. They have three meats - turkey (and as it is still on the carcass it 
is recognisable as such), ham and roast beef. You then have a choice of a 
couple of kind of potatoes and about half  a dozen veg, which are always 
properly cooked and fresh.
When it opened here several months ago(it used to be a Beefeater which was 
awful) we thought that the price would go up or the standard would fall but 
neither has happened. It is always packed.
They have a couple of other items on the menu but these tend to be based on 
the meats on the carvery so I presume that they can keep to these prices by 
buying very large quantities of a few items rather than buying smaller 
quantities of a large range of items.
They do puddings as well but we have never sampled these.
