Indeed so and probably for the best all things considered. Peace in NI was
never going to be achieved without some form of accommodation with the IRA

Tacitly ignoring the fact that the leading figures in Sein Fein in recent
years are former IRA activists is a small price to pay (albeit a bitter pill
to swallow) for an end to the bombings and shootings
