Hi everyone and a Happy Christmas to you all It's going to take a litle while to read back through the posts, so bear with me if I ask daft questions that have been debated at length previously
I'm new to the group and have joined because I want to find out more about living aboard (I can see your eyes rolling skyward now ;o] ) There's only so much you can read before you need to have a chat with people and hopefully get more involved, and thats what I hope to be able to do. I don't want to leap straght in...I want to learn and make informed choices! I'm based in NE Derbs/Notts border area, and currently live in a house...my first...and possibly my last! I prefer smaller living (caravan, van etc) and a simpler lifestyle. I'm a practical person and don't really have rose tinted glasses on about boat living as I'm thinking there are similarities with caravaning and camper-van living. Personaly I tend to lean more towards a more sustainable and ethical lifestyle, but don't fit any particular steriotypes on that front. I'd love to hear from people who are or have been living aboard, experiences, things to bear in mind, anything really that would be worth knowing. And information particularly from other single people who live aboard - going through locks must be an art form! Cheers Lizzie
