The thing Virgin have done very well is to create new businesses then sell them off at the right time! I remember walking along Northumberland Avenue (near Charing Cross station in London) some years back and saw a shop with the Virgin branding. I haven't seen any others of the same type and I assume it wasn't successful. It was a wedding hire service and went under the very obvious name of Virgin Brides.
