A residential boater was found dead in the canal at Willington yesterday afternoon. Apparently he was seen 2pm ish at the local shop buying a gas cylinder and then found in the cut about 4pm by a dog walking lady who knew him. As usual police reports are a bit scanty at this stage but to add insult his van (parked nearby) has been vandalised overnight and then his boat broken into!
