Here in non-computer-owning land, some interesting anomalies. On Tuesday last
[3 Feb] yahoo in its wisdom decided to completely revamp the e-mail page
without notice & cause maximum annoyance. Some things, like alphabeticising my
folders are innocuous enough, but others, like compressing my signature,
necessitating dragging & deleting it if I don't want it to go forward [as
opposed to just unchecking a tick-box] are not.
There are various other annoying changes that I won't bore the list with. On
complaining to yahoo [via a live chat-line come messenger service] I find that
Yahoo Classic will not now be the Yahoo Classic that I've known for years.
Historically this has happened once or twice in the dim & distant past but
there has always been the 'revert to how it was before option' not now though.
All messages from the canal list are in a different font, but *everyone* else's
remains the same[?] This morning I discovered that send, move, forward etc.
produces a blank screen, but in fact the functions appear to work! Ye Gods! As
I said to them ''If it ain't broke-don't fix it!''
I was amazed at the number of e-mails this morning [98] as opposed to
yesterday morning [7] the great majority of these were 'firefox' or 'am I
paranoid' on the subject lines.
It's always a lottery as to which subjects cause the most response & which
others wither & die on the vine.
For what it's worth, the quote is 'pretentious, moi?' by Miss Piggy
rather than 'paranoid, moi?' but still makes for good reading. :-))
