We had no problems with passing bridges . . . until the "no signal"
regime started.

We were waiting at Cambridge (heading south) for about 20 mins whilst
the keeper pedalled up from Patch. He opened the bridge and some twat
heading Glosterwards came straight through without even a thought that
anybody else might be on the canal. Short @rsed female wally-ette
couldn't even see over the cabin top and almost ploughed into us. Did
humbly apologise as she passed by.

Signal what signal ? I didn't know there were any signals. Did you see
a signal ? There aren't any signals. Are there ?
