BSM - where I learned to drive as a young man with definate ideas. Going out at
a weekend for a lesson the pedestrians dived out like lemmings at the sight of
an L plate. Finally one too many did it and smirked at me for stopping. I
stuttered the gear and caught him neatly with the big L plate while yelling
rude things out the window. At this point I noticed my instructor, well versed
in the ways of young men, had disappeared into the well so it looked like I was
a (non-learner) driver driving alone. He taught most of the people in our
office and used to give me messages for them that had passed to tell them off
if he saw them driving badly. Good old British School of Motoring. Amazingly,
having had an argument over the highway code with the examiner and maybe
concussed him during the test, I passed.

I will not join you as I am pained enough already not knowing who BSM
is.
