The last pictures I posted were so popular I thought I'd do the same again when there was stuff I couldn't identify. I've often drawn attention to the fact that the canals weren't as twee and pretty in the past as they are now, and these two shots seem to demonstrate this. My best bet is that they were taken in 1983, and the derelict terrace, which I feel sure was somewhere on the Coventry, was not unusual. There seemed to be derelict canalside cottages and house over the place in those days, and Em and I were constantly talking about buying one, doing it up etc etc. If dreams were currency we'd be wealthy people now.
The second picture is more problematic. It's not exactly derelict, but it's seen better days. It seems to be an old farm building about to be swamped by the engulfing tide of some city or town estate, the roofs of which can be glimpsed to the right of the picture.
