A telecom firm called Global Telecoms has gone bust, it mainly supplied small
businesses with telephone lines and packages. Over here in Norfolk, a local
taxi firm cannot receive calls and a local garage is unable to process and
debit or credit cards - so it's causing small businesses even more grief with
lost business. About 4000 lines are affected. According to our paper Ofcom are
attempting to get the lines re-instated - but are having problems in finding
out how Global disconnected them (or the telecom firm that rented the lines to
Global in the first place - Gamma Telecom of Berkshire.
