Hi Folks, I'm often reading about you guys with your GPS units - I'd be very interested to know what you are using, in terms of hardware and software - how you have set them up and, much more importantly, what doesn't work.
Am I correct in believing that you can link them into Googlemaps and/or GoogleEarth, via an USB 'GPS dongle', for real-time positioning? From experience I know that Tom Tom is totally useless if you are not actually cruising the M1 <g> and, from experience with trying to load Tom Tom onto my laptop*, I guess you must all be doing something else, if you want to see where you are on a pc.... [*I'm still experimenting with that - I've just found an emulator for Windows Mobile with which I can, apparently, install and use programs intended for PDAs and which are using WM as the operating system.] Cheers, Trevor [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
