Heavenly though it is, watching people on narrowboats on 'Corrie' it still
rankles hearing those same people refer to a 'barge.' In fairness to Stephanie
Beacham, whose character Martha lives on a narrowboat, I've not heard *her*
refer to a barge, but plenty of the others.
Last night however, when she's offering Ken the chance for eternal bliss she
told him of her plans that could include him if he so desired. They entailed
going to Twyford [?] Little Venice [that I'm going to after this e-mail session
in Paddington Library for the Cavalcade] & the Norfolk Broads. Although not
stated, it implies that these locations are all accessible & are connected to
one another.
With such a big programme, can't the writers indulge in a little research?
Mind you, if there's a secret way to access the Norfolk Broads other than
across the Wash, tidal waters etc.etc. point me to it & I'll be there! :-))
