We use the Sissions charts, as published by the Trent Boating
Association, but we bought ours in '05. We'd planned to look in the
chandlery at Sawley to see if there were more up to date copies, but
never made it as a result of the delay at Redhill. Then we were going
to look in Castle Marina in Nott'm, but they were shut on the Tuesday
we were there.
They are much better than the Nick, IMHO, with much clearer detail
for the channel. The other thing that really helped yesterday as we
came down was having the Garmin running, showing the true speed over
the ground. As soon as it started dropping started falling, we knew
we were out of the deepest channel, since we were running down on the
ebb.
All the best
Bruce
Go steady, but keep going.
