Some people have been getting mildly worried that there's no news about the GIG.
Just to update you all, our brand new, shiny on-line booking facility is nearly ready to go - we're currently waiting for Paypal and our bank to finish connecting with each other - once this has happened (later this week, I'm told) then it will go LIVE! The cost of the weekend will be GBP 16 per person, with no charge for camping pitches or mooring, though moorers are asked to specify their boat length to assist our worthy Harbourmaster and campers are asked to ask for a pitch so we know how many tents and caravans are coming. Electric hookups are available, at extra cost (I think the figure of GBP 2.50 per day was mentioned) payable directly to the Soar Boating Club. I'm minded to ask the SBC to source and cook the meat (and non-meat for the veggies) and cook it, leaving us to provide the goodies for the salad table - everybody happy with that?
