And yet in a report from 2004, to which there is a link on the current page, the Beeb looks to be much nearer the mark: "The landmark is well-used - particularly in the busy tourist season - and crossed by more than 1,000 boats and 25,000 pedestrians each year." Still, much too dull a story for any hack to actually check the facts, ain't it. Incidentally, I really enjoyed following the web-cam to Llangollen on Thursday, fuzzy images notwithstanding. Surprising how much Voda reception there was. The fact that I am now working on Sunday morning to catch up on stuff not done last week is only partly coincidental.
