Unless I'm missing something here:

    Bordesley Junction

    Friday 26 June 2009 - Friday 26 June 2009

Water is still low for a ten mile stretch due to the gates being left open
earlier today and draining the pound. We are in the process of refilling
the canal to its correct depth however due to the length this is taking a
    considerable time.

Surely just leaving 1 set of gates open on a lock which takes a large
pound down by a large amount (presumably overnight) is a serious
problem which needs to be fixed ASAP?
