Alan Canals are officially open 24 hours a day for boating as long as you have the necessary insurance and there are no stoppages/restrictions to the contrary. I have encountered anglers after midnight. Usually they are fast asleep under angling shelters and non too happy when their bite detectors suddenly wake them up. Phil
