I would have thought that they'd have had someone available to post emergency stoppage notices at the weekend. After all, it can be done from home these days! > I'll post on here if I hear anything more Many thanks. -- Martin Clark Newlay Locks Monday 3 August 2009 - Friday 7 August 2009 The lock has now been repaired. We are advising boaters currently at Clarence Dock, to set off from 7.00am on the 7th August. The Gates at Spring Garden will be unlocked from this time tomorrow and Saturday and then normal service (8.15am) will resume on Sunday onwards. For those boaters above Newlay, please be advised that the locks will be open from 7.00am tomorrow and Saturday to allow you to travel down into Leeds. From Sunday onwards Newlay will be open from the usual 8.15am. This helps us to restore correct water levels following the repair work.
