hi Baz,
I've enjoyed reading your trip report/blogs. we are permanantly moored at
newbury (on the offside just above the new monkey bridge).
I would like to apologise if my three yr old son shouts at you to slow
down as you go past!
He has taken to shouting this at all boats after hearing a boater who was
moored opposite us do it. They mooved off when it was pointed out that
they were actually moored on fishing platforms for wheelchair users.
hopefully the council will put the signs up saying this soon as we are fed
up acting as mediators between local land residents/anglers and boaters!
anyway good luck with the rest of your trip!
all the best
lee, lucy and josh.

Trust the boater but not their plank!
