 Hi All
We were due to go through Standedge Tunnel tomorrow and have just received a

It turns out that there is a breach, but it is near Lock 14e.

It makes a big difference for anyone whose boat is at Slaithwaite!

That was the info I was given on the phone yesterday afternoon. Looking at the
PW website it appears that they haven't a clue where the leak is. Although they
did say that they were aware of it having been leaking for some time now .... I
cannot understand how they can let this sort of thing develop, without looking
for the causes.

With today's modern technology and equipment, how can a leak take around 8
weeks to sort? ... Is it a case of 7 weeks of H&S inspection and reports and 1
week of actually getting in and sorting the problem out?

As I've said before ... Prevention is better than the cure .... and much
cheaper too.
