For anyone interested in the progress of the reincarnation of tatty old BW workboat Python into the Chesterfield Canal Trust's swanlike gleaminly resplendent historic Learning Boat Python, the vessel has now arrived safely in West Stockwith Basin at the junction of the Chesterfield Canal and the tidal River Trent. The final stage of her journey, starting with the "Official Arrival" at West Stockwith on Saturday morning will take her to Shireoaks, just west of Worksop, hopefully arriving next Tuesday, after overnight stops at Drakeholes, and two nights at "Charlies" Forest Middle Top Lock.
