Until recently we had a macerator bog fitted on Boden. It became rather unreliable and decrepit, so it was removed. The end of the pipe going to the holding tank was capped with a Saul Canal Festival plaque, drilled to take a couple of retaining screws. The plaque happened to be exactly the right size to do the job. We now have a porta-potti (strictly, we have two of them so we could have a two-bog-boat).
The holding tank remains under the gunwhale side of the love-pit on which the missus and I sleep. It is a nice, fairly new, polypropylene tank bought to replace the original one which imploded during a pumpout incident. The other side of the bed adjoining the corridor is occupied by drawers which are useful for keeping a change of undies and some engine spares in. If I were to take out the tank, what could I usefully, and without too much effort, do with a space which is fairly inaccessible, and about 2 m x 70 cm x 70 cm. Ideas please?
