Moose replies: what is not true the old rating system was due for revaluation,
I believe that was fact? so if the valuation had gone ahead then when Poll Tax
cost would have been smaller and remember not all Councils Poll Tax was
extremely high.>

Can you explain your sentence above? I cannot understand the double meaning.
Sorry it is a Person tax and a property tax, the property side you are correct,
the person tax is set as the standard band is band D and it is occupied by two
person who will have to pay Council Tax, that is why if there is only one
person in the property that as to pay CTax then there is a discount 25%.

I thought it had been postponed, but it will have to be done at sometime. Home
improvement do count towards the Council Tax as I have said, I know because
that has been one of my jobs! When you apply for planning permission say for a
dormer window extension etc when the work is completed it will be put on the
CTax system for when the property is sold.
