When we went to Sky and acquired our first radio router performance wasn't
that good. It was plugged directly into the pc and an extension socket. On
their advice we plugged the router into the BT entry socket and the radio
dongle (which we hadn't been using of course) into the pc. Performance
improved straight away.

Mind you we had a letter from them several months ago that we were being
upgraded for free from 10 to 20 whatevers, the last bit of the letter
pointed out however that they had tested our line and it wouldn't support
more than 6.8.
