If you suspect a DNS problem try another DNS server, canbe set up in
Internet properties on your PC/Laptop or on the router itself.

A few years a go I set up a DNS server for a company I know,

A quick ping sees it still alive

ns1.turtle.net 81.89.137.143
ns2.turtle.net 81.89.137.150

or there are a few other independant ones out there.

OpenDNS

            208.67.222.222
            208.67.220.220

Might be worth a try...
