We arrived at Stafford Boat Club during a showery period and so spent a
couple of hours getting Jannock ship shape after Matt's cruise.

I reversed Jannock back to the
winding hole and turned her whilst we chatted to Ann (nb Margarita) and her
husband who had wandered across from their boat to introduce themselves.
Nice to finally put a face to a Canals list poster.

Ditto! I apologise for not coming across earlier, but I had been stuck with a
phone in my ear contacting family and support workers as my Dad's health had
dramatically deteriorated. He had become bedbound with an infection and we
ended up sending for the doc again on Sunday and getting him admitted to
Telford hospital. We went over at noon and got home at 9.30 having had nothing
to eat or drink during that time. After waiting for doc, then for ambulance,
then sitting in A & E for 4 hours till a ward bed was found. Thank goodness the
boat club was still open, so a sandwich and a shower and up to get a stiff
drink.

Good news is that the infection has been identified (confirmed our experienced
diagnosis:-) and so is being treated. Bad news is that our planned trip with
our grandaughter has had to be cancelled, and is unlikely to be able to be
replaced before school resumes. However sbc is a nice place to be if we are
marooned, and it's nearer to Telford than our home is. Ken has the chance to do
some boaty jobs and to help out around the club grounds, which is part of our
mooring agreement anyway.

Good luck to you all on your cruises.
