I updated the playbook entry for https://wiki.canonical.com/UbuntuEngineering/CI/Playbook/TouchImageSmokeTesting with some new details about handling the parallel job reruns. The main thing to be aware of here is that we added some new output today that shows exactly which tests were going to be executed by that specific job. So if you have 3 runs on mako for instance, and one of them failed (as I just saw happen during the install due to a bzr/lp error when it was trying to run phablet-click-test-setup), you can easily set one to rerun *just* those tests.
