All, For those not subscribed to the is-announce list the latest update from Brian is included below.
The CI lab hardware is scheduled to start being transferred from the current data center space to the new space on 3rd of December and should be completed on the 5th. The link to the is-maintenance Google calendar is included in Brian's update. We do not have a detailed breakdown from the DCEs as to the date/times specific hardware sets will be moved but will let you know when/if that information is made available to us. During the transfer the kernel team hardware will be sliced out to a separate network. The same will be done for the MAAS (Lenovo) stack, and the Server Team's Dell and HP stacks. What will be affected during the move? In short, everything. All CI lab infrastructure will be taken down in phases and moved from the 4th floor to the 8th floor. CI personnel will keep track of the move progress as much as possible and test systems/services as they are brought back online. Another announcement will be sent out once all systems/services have been verified. ~w -------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: Re: 1SS Move/Expansion December 2014 Date: Fri, 21 Nov 2014 08:43:43 -0600 From: Brian T Chidester <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Hi, As a follow-up to the email I sent previously, all move dates have been finalized and are listed on the is-maintenance Google Calendar(1). Expect an 8-12 hour downtime window for each team and project. We'll make every effort to minimize the downtime based on size and complexity of the lab. If you have a conflict please let me know *immediately*. The closer we get to the date in question, the less likely it is we can be flexible with the downtime. If you have any questions about the scheduling, please let me know. 1. http://goo.gl/N2iULS Brian Chidester Data Center Engineer Canonical USA Inc [email protected] M: +1 978 496-6054 On 11/05/2014 11:47 AM, Brian T Chidester wrote: > Hi, > > This email is to inform you of work we will be doing in our Boston Data > Center (1SS) during the month of December.
