New question #818988 on Ubuntu-Certification:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu-certification/+question/818988

I am planning to buy a laptop and find one that completely and seamlessly works
with Linux.

"Pre-installed in some regions with a custom Ubuntu image that takes advantage
of the system's hardware features and may include additional software. Standard
images of Ubuntu may not work well, or at all."

What does the second part mean? What exactly do you mean by standard images
here? I think "standard images" mean all the Ubuntu images released officially.
Can you clarify this line and tell me what exactly you meant?

Please reply.
