Hello, I'm writing kindly asking help.
I've a Lenovo Z16 Gen 2 and Ive got some issue with
- microphone
- speaker
- fingerprint reader
I've tried in order the folowing Ubuntu Desktop versions:
- 24.04 LTS
- 24.10
- 22.04.5 LTS
For the 24.04 and the 24.10 I installed the OS, for the 22.04.5 I tried the
live.
I know that the laptop is certified for Ubuntu Desktop 22.04 LTS.
With the 24.04 and the 24.10 the basic issue is that after some suspend/resume
cycles:
- the most frequent issue is that the microphone stop working. (in the
settings-sound you see that the mic level is fixed at a certain level, while
when it is working you see the bar moving with the sound input level)
- the second most frequent case is that the left speaker stop working (no sound
at all) and the right one works at a lower volume
- the less frequent case is that the fingerprint stop working. At login is not
displayed anymore the text to use the finger and also when using sudo, it is
immediately asked the password
Knowing that only the 22.04 is certified I've tried the 22.04.5. I've tried
some suspend resume cycle with and without the external power supply and I've
got the microphone issue. At this point I stopped the testing and I've decided
to ask your help.
