Hi, I was affected by this problem on oneiric, with a Logitech C310 webcam. It appeared on cheese in any resolution above 800x448. It also appeared in guvcview, but only in the highest resolution (1280x960), and only in YV12/YU12 formats. I didn't see any issues in skype. It seemed to be solved by Juan Francisco Contreras García's ppa.
