Ubuntu 12.04

Trying to upgrade Firefox,  it report an error: 'E: adobe-flashplugin:
subprocess installed pre-removal script returned error exit status 2'

I tryed using : ' sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade' but
it did not resolve the problem, please look below.

Setting up adobe-flashplugin (10.0.32.18-1) ...
update-alternatives: using /usr/lib/adobe-flashplugin/libflashplayer.so to 
provide /usr/lib/firefox/plugins/flashplugin-alternative.so 
(firefox-flashplugin) in auto mode.
update-alternatives: error: error creating symbolic link 
`/usr/lib/firefox/plugins/flashplugin-alternative.so.dpkg-tmp': No such file or 
directory
dpkg: error processing adobe-flashplugin (--configure):
 subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2
No apport report written because MaxReports is reached already
                                                              Errors were
