The bash tab expansion bug caused by Adobe Reader also affects Ubuntu 12.10. Comment #54 fixed the problem for me (rename acroread's _filedir() function to _acroread_filedir() in /opt/Adobe/Reader9/Resource/Shell/acroread_tab).
