Public bug reported:

The website should show first the best way to install skype (i.e. by the 
Canonical Partner Repository) and show the .deb solution as an alternative that 
should be tried if the first didn't work.
Also it would alow to show that Skype works in Ubuntu 12.10 not only 12.04 and 
10.04.
