The "oldness" comes from the programming language used by Slype (QT
while most Ubuntu's program's use GTK) so I think that it's not a bug in
skype but a design bug in QT. However, I'm not sure about the
translation status of QT packages in Ubuntu but Skype should definitely
use them if they're available.
